He is one of the founding members of the Cyprus Blockchain Association, now Blockchain Technologies, and the European BlockTech Federation. He has been involved in more than 170 international blockchain projects and has helped companies raise millions in capital. Yiannis has been involved in international initiatives such as the Tokyo Government Blockchain Business Camp in 2017, and in all national initiatives for building the Cypriot fintech ecosystem. He has also served as adjunct lecturer in digital currency and blockchain degrees at the University of Nicosia.

Yiannis is currently a director in an international investments group and an external reviewer of the Journal of Governance and Regulation. He has served as an advisor to international fintech groups, investment companies and funds, and has participated in discussions with policy makers globally. Yiannis is a regulated investments' professional, a CISI Chartered Member, and a holder of academic and professional qualifications from the universities of Imperial College London, MIT, Leeds.
