    Industrial Relations & Social Policy Officer at the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation
    Polyvios K. Polyviou was born on December 1979 in Nicosia. He is a holder of a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Indianapolis, USA with academic distinctions and honors.
    In 2007 he was employed to the position of Industrial Relations & Social Policy Officer, at the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB), a position he still holds today.

    The area of his professional specialization includes labor relations and social policy, labor legislation, management of industrial disputes, human resources management, occupational health and safety, gender equality, employment of foreign workers and related matters.
    His duties include the representation of OEB in meetings of various bodies, councils and technical committees, parliamentary committees and labor negotiations. Moreover, he contributes in the writing and preparation of OEB's publications on labor legislation, in providing professional training programs, in implementing EU-funded projects and in other activities aimed in promoting the positions, policy and best interests of OEB and its members.

    He is a member of the Industrial Relations Tribunal, the Advisory Committee of the District Labor Office in Nicosia, the Cyprus Council on Health & Safety at Work, the Cyprus Council for People with Disabilities, the National Agency for Population & Family Policy, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living & Working Conditions (Eurofound) and the European Agency for Safety & Health at Work (EU-OSHA).

    He represents OEB in conferences organized by European and international organizations, including the European Commission, BUSINESSEUROPE, the International Organization of Employers (IOE) and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
